Rex Ryan has gained 30 pounds since brother Rob joined Bills staff

The Ryan twins truly have a fascinating relationship.

ESPN ran a feature Thursday on brothers Rex and Rob, now co-workers on the Buffalo Bills as head coach and assistant head coach, respectively. One of the more intriguing details of the piece? Rex’s significant weight gain ever since Rob was hired by the team in January.

Per Elizabeth Merrill:

Before we can begin, Rex and Rob Ryan must finish their nature walk. It involves five middle-aged men, all Buffalo Bills staffers, and lasts about half an hour. Rex organized the daily jaunt because he says he has gained 30 pounds since his brother joined the coaching staff this past winter.

Now that’s what I call brotherly love. For Rex, who famously lost 130 pounds over the last several years, perhaps Rob is helping him realize that it’s going to take a lot more man to turn around a Bills team that failed to meet expectations with an 8-8 record last year.

At the bare minimum, at least we know that it probably wasn’t just a Karlos Williams thing in Buffalo.
