Richard Sherman and his girlfriend Ashley Moss are expecting the birth of their first child any day now, but that is not going to stop the All-Pro corner from playing in the Super Bowl.
Sherman sent a text message to Sports Illustrated’s Peter King on Sunday afternoon to inform him that he will be playing against the New England Patriots.
Sherman joked earlier in the week that his unborn son is going to be disciplined and wait until after the Super Bowl to introduce himself to the world. While he likely has no way of knowing if his girlfriend will go into labor on Sunday, it sounds like a risk Sherman is going to take.
Moss has watched several of Sherman’s games with the rest of the 12th man, but we’re guessing she’ll be somewhere a bit more comfortable for the Super Bowl.
