Rob Gronkowski declares himself ‘ready to roll’ in Instagram post

Reports over the last several days have all been positive regarding Rob Gronkowski’s availability for Super Bowl LII, but a social media post from the tight end on Monday may have been the best measurement of his status.

Shortly after the New England Patriots landed in Minnesota, Gronkowski shared a photo on Instagram and captioned it as follows: “Locked in, ready to roll. Minnesota we here.”

Locked in, ready to roll. Minnesota we here. #superbowl52 #anotherone #minneapolis

A post shared by Rob Gronkowski (@gronk) on Jan 29, 2018 at 1:18pm PST

Gronkowski remained in the NFL’s concussion protocol as of Monday, and his post certainly doesn’t make anything official. However, it’s extremely unlikely that he would caption the photo that way if his status for the big game was in question.

The latest we have heard about Gronkowski’s level of participation in practice has been encouraging, and it seems like a matter of time before he clears the concussion protocol. The Patriots managed to win despite not having him for more than a full half in the AFC Championship Game, but their offense is significantly better with Gronk on the field.
