Josh Allen already has a year to remember, even before the 2026 NFL season begins.
For one, the Buffalo Bills star quarterback became a father with the birth of his first child with wife Hailee Steinfeld, which they announced in April. He also went under the knife in January to address a foot injury.
It’s been months since the surgery, and on Monday, Josh Allen revealed he wanted to keep the bone removed during the operation. However, he never got the chance, as it was disposed of immediately.
“No. Our head trainer, Nate Breske, was there, and apparently, they like wrapped it up and threw it away as quickly as they could. And I really wanted it,” Allen said when asked if he got to keep the bone as some sort of medical memento.
Allen also joked that the bone is probably “floating out there” and getting passed around in the black market.

The injury was an old one that he aggravated while trying to escape Myles Garrett during a Week 16 game last season. Allen did not miss any time despite the injury, but he addressed it with surgery in the offseason.
Allen is now healthy and has no limitations at the start of the Bills’ offseason program.
In 2025, the four-time Pro Bowler passed for 3,668 yards and 25 touchdowns against 10 interceptions across 17 games.
