Rob Gronkowski’s brother Glenn released by Patriots
NFL teams are making difficult decisions as they try to set their 53-man rosters ahead of Week 1 of the season. For New England, one such tough decision was releasing Rob Gronkowski’s brother.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Friday that the Pats have waived Glenn Gronkowski.
Glenn, 24, was undrafted out of Kansas State last year and signed with the Bills. Even though the fullback made their initial roster, he was released in September. He later joined the Patriots’ practice squad and was an on-and-off participant on the team’s practice squad the rest of the season.
Despite being waived by the Patriots, Glenn may choose to sign with their practice squad if he clears waivers.
