Robert Griffin III is in the process of getting a divorce from his wife Rebecca, and it sounds like the decision to split was made by the Cleveland Browns quarterback.
A new report from TMZ claims that — although the couple has been separated for months — Rebecca was working to save the marriage as recently as this week. She was reportedly “blindsided” by the news that RG3 is filing for a divorce and was “absolutely devastated” to learn that he is dating another woman.
According to TMZ, Griffin first met Florida State track and field star Grete Sadeiko (photos here) through social media in January. RG3 and Rebecca gave birth to their first daughter, Reese, about seven months before that. The relationship eventually progressed, and Rebecca was angry over Robert talking to another woman when she found out in April.
How serious are things between RG3 and his new girlfriend? Let’s just say the two are hot and heavy enough that the Browns QB decided to get a new tattoo to prove it.
