Rolando McClain to be suspended 10 games
Rolando McClain will be suspended the first 10 games of the upcoming season due to a violation of the league’s substance abuse policy.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Todd Archer first reported the news about McClain, who was also suspended the first four games of last season due to a substance abuse violation.
The Dallas Cowboys re-signed McClain over the offseason to a one-year, $5 million deal and now are looking at him missing the majority of the regular season.
McClain posted 80 tackles, two sacks and an interception last season. Cowboys coaches already were not happy with McClain for missing a good portion of OTAs, so this will have them only further upset with the linebacker. It’s hard to count on a guy who simply will not be on the field.
