Ronald L. Hall arrested after allegedly shooting son’s friend during Chiefs game
A 65-year-old Missouri man named Ronald L. Hall has been arrested and charged with assault and criminal action after he allegedly shot one of his son’s friends during the Cincinnati Bengals win over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. According to KSHB 41 in Kansas City, court documents indicate Hall, his son and several other people were gathered to watch the game and trading insults when things got out of hand.
All the men were reportedly drinking, and Hall’s son said his father is ill-tempered and has gotten worse over the past year. He said the men gather to watch games often and that Hall has become angry over the banter in the past, threatening to shoot people on more than one occasion but never following through.
Hall’s son said he and the victim were outside when they heard a loud noise and the victim fell to the ground with a shotgun wound to his face. The victim reportedly suffered a stroke and other severe injuries. Officers were able to remove Hall from the house after he resisted and also discovered that there was a two-month old baby in the home.
And yet again, we hear about an incredibly stupid incident of violence that stems from watching sports. Some people just can’t accept that it’s only a game.
