Russell Wilson sends brief farewell message to Seattle
Russell Wilson has made his first public statement since he was traded to the Denver Broncos, and the star quarterback kept it short and sweet.
Wilson sent a brief tweet on Wednesday professing his love for Seattle. He said he is “forever grateful.”
SEATTLE, I Love You.
Forever Grateful.

The Broncos travel to Seattle to face the Seahawks in 2022. It will be interesting to what type of reception Wilson gets from The 12th Man. On one hand, Wilson helped the franchise win a Super Bowl and kept them competitive for the better part of a decade. On the other, he essentially forced his way out of Seattle. There was also a report questioning his effort level in his final season with the Seahawks.
Even if it doesn’t come next season, Wilson will eventually get the reception he deserves from the Seahawks and their fans. He’s arguably the best player in franchise history.
