Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen has battled a number of injuries in recent years, but the one he suffered on Sunday may have been the most frightening.
Olsen fumbled and appeared like he may have been briefly knocked unconscious after taking a helmet-to-helmet hit from Washington Redskins linebacker Ryan Anderson. The veteran walked off the field under his own power and was taken to the locker room.

Here’s another angle:

Anderson received a 15-yard penalty on the play and was ejected from the game.
We have seen some brutal helmet-to-helmet hits this season that have left players unconscious, and that is something the NFL has been trying to remove from the game for years. Unfortunately, it still happens all too often. Hopefully Olsen’s injury does not end up being serious.
