Fans are learning a lot about Cam Skattebo during the running back’s breakout rookie season with the New York Giants, but we might now know a little too much thanks to longtime ESPN analyst Ryan Clark.

Skattebo ran for 98 yards and scored three touchdowns in the Giants’ 34-17 win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday night at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. Clark and the rest of the “First Take” crew discussed the big performance on Friday morning, and the former NFL safety decided to share a story about his personal experience with Skattebo.

Clark said he went to some of Skattebo’s games when the running back was in college at Arizona State. Things then got weird in a hurry when Clark recalled the time Skattebo offered Clark some candy that Skattebo had stashed in his pants.

“This dude is made to win, and he’s also a kind, giving human. After the game, I would hang out and talk to his parents. He would come out and his mom would give him a plastic bag of candy,” Clark said. “He would take that plastic bag of candy, and while he ate that plastic bag of candy, he would not take a shower before he came out, and he would stick it in his pants. I appreciated him, he pulled them out his pants and he goes, ‘R.C., do you want a candy?’ Hell naw, what makes you think I’d eat your crotch candy?

“But what I’m saying is this — the dude is all dog, all boy, and an absolute baller.”

Stephen A. Smith and Clark’s other colleagues were understandably speechless. The story itself was almost as hard to believe as the fact that Clark felt the need to share it on the air.

Clark has had another tough week with the latest on-air apology he had to deliver, so perhaps he wanted to try to keep things light on Friday. He probably could have done that without talking about crotch Skittles.
