Ryan Tannehill has ACL and MCL sprain, no timetable for return
Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill’s injury is still bad, but it’s better than first feared.
An MRI on Tannehill’s knee indicated an ACL and MCL sprain, which is a step up from original fears of a full tear.
Why MRI is important: #Dolphins coach Adam Gase says QB Ryan Tannehill has an ACL and MCL sprain (not tear). No timetable yet.

Adam Gase says "it doesn't look" like surgery will be happening.

The initial fear was a tear that would keep Tannehill sidelined for the rest of the season. To be clear, there’s no guarantee that he does return in 2016, but the chances are better than they looked on Sunday.
