Ryan Tannehill reportedly expected to be ready for OTAs in April

Ryan Tannehill

There is good news for Miami Dolphins fans when it comes to the recovery of Ryan Tannehill.

The Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson says that Tannehill is progressing well in his recovery from knee surgery and should be ready for the beginning of the team’s offseason activities in April. The extent of Tannehill’s availability for OTAs is not known, but just that he should be able to participate is a good sign.

Tannehill injured his knee late in the 2016 season and missed three games. He did not have surgery after that injury, leading some to say he was a ticking time bomb. His knee blew out in training camp before this season, and he agreed to undergo surgery to repair his torn ACL.

The Dolphins signed Jay Cutler to replace Tannehill, and the experiment did not go as well as hoped. The team finished 6-10, with the offense ranking 28th in the league in points scored.
