New Orleans Saints linebacker Demario Davis was impressed with what he saw from New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo on Sunday, and the veteran had a hilarious way of expressing it.

Skattebo has established himself as the Giants’ top rushing option over the last few weeks. The former Arizona State star had 15 carries for 59 yards in his team’s 26-14 Week 5 loss to the Saints at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, La. He added 6 catches for 45 yards.

Davis was wearing a microphone for the game. At one point, the two-time Pro Bowl linebacker was chatting with teammate Pete Werner about Skattebo. Davis said Skattebo reminds him of a “bad little kid.”

“Hey, 44 like a bad little kid. He look like a little bad kid,” Davis told Werner. “You ever been at one of those little football camps and you picked up one of them bad kids, like wrestle with them? That’s what No. 44 like. I can feel his little feet just back there going. It’s like a bad little kid, like a little battery back there.”

Davis and Skattebo exchanged some trash talk on the field during the game, but it was all mutual respect when they shook hands afterward. Davis told the rookie “I love how you run” and to “keep hunting.”

Skattebo is known for being a high-effort player, which explains why he reminds Davis of a hyper little kid.

Though he has become a big part of the Giants’ offense, Skattebo made a costly mistake during Sunday’s loss. He sent a message to fans about the play after the game.
