Report: Seahawks unlikely to re-sign Jadeveon Clowney
Jadeveon Clowney’s financial demands just aren’t lining up with what teams are willing to pay him, and it looks like it may cost him the chance to stay in Seattle.
According to Brady Henderson of ESPN, a Clowney return to the Seahawks is not considered likely at this point, and the pass rusher would have to significantly revise his demands in order to make a deal work.
On Jadeveon Clowney, my understanding is he would have to take significantly less money than what the Seahawks previously offered him in order for a reunion to happen. The team hasn't shut the door entirely on Clowney, but bringing him back isn't considered likely at this point.

This has really been the story of Clowney’s offseason. He simply wants more money than any teams have been willing to pay him at this point. Nobody denies the talent, but after a season with a modest three sacks combined with injury concerns, his value is not at its peak right now.
Clowney has said he’d like to return to Seattle, but is in no hurry to sign. This looks like it may drag out for months.
