Shedeur Sanders on Saturday was finally drafted as the Cleveland Browns selected him in the fifth round with pick No. 144 overall. Sanders was finally taken after sliding well past where many thought he would go. His father Deion even stated that Shedeur was one of the surest bets in the draft, yet the former Colorado quarterback lasted until the third day.
Despite the embarrassming draft slide, Shedeur maintained a positive attitude and faith in God.
“Thank you GOD,” Shedeur wrote on X.
Thank you GOD

Sanders showed his faith when the going got tough. He posted three times in the span of 17 hours about God. His belief is what helped get him through a difficult time as he was tested.
Now Sanders will be heading to Cleveland. The Browns have Deshaun Watson, Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett at the quarterback position. In this draft alone, they have added two more QBs in Sanders and Dillon Gabriel. Who said five’s a crowd?
As for Sanders, he finished 8th in Heisman Trophy voting last season. He completed 74 percent of his passes for the Buffaloes for 4,134 yards and 37 touchdowns against 10 interceptions. One constant issue for him that Sanders will need to improve on is the amount of sacks he takes. Sanders also reportedly did not interview well with teams.
