New England Patriots running back Sony Michel has had knee issues dating back to his time at Georgia, but the latest is apparently nothing to be concerned about.
Michel has not been present at any of the practice sessions that were open to the media this offseason, and Jeff Howe of The Athletic reported on Wednesday that the 24-year-old recently underwent a knee scope. He is, however, expected to be ready for the start of training camp next month.
Running back Sony Michel missed the final portion of the Patriots offseason workout program due to a knee scope, according to a source. Should be ready for training camp.

Michel missed three games last year during the regular season, but he was outstanding during the playoffs. He rushed for over 300 yards and scored six touchdowns in three postseason games and was a huge reason for New England’s success.
Michel suffered another knee injury late last season that looked like it had the potential to be very serious, but that was not the case. Because of his history, the Patriots will likely always play it safe with Michel during the offseason and manage his reps.
