Stefon Diggs on trade speculation: ‘There’s truth to all rumors’
Stefon Diggs was at practice with the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday after an unexplained absence the day before, and the star receiver basically confirmed that he is unhappy with his current situation.
Diggs told reporters he will not be talking about the trade speculation that has been building over the past several days, but he admitted there is “truth to all rumors.”

Diggs also said he missed practice on Wednesday because he was feeling ill, though he indicated all is not well between him and the Vikings.
Stefon Diggs said he “hasn’t been feeling well” and said that’s why he wasn’t at practice Wednesday. But Diggs added, “I can’t sit up here and act like everything is OK.”

Diggs stopped short of confirming he wants to be traded, but it’s clear he is not happy with the way things have gone offensively for the Vikings this year. Considering Minnesota’s offense has become much more run-oriented, that is not a surprise. Diggs has just 13 catches through four games after catching a career-high 102 passes on 149 targets in 2018.
Diggs helped fuel rumors that he might be traded to a specific team with his social media activity earlier in the week, but the Vikings are not entertaining offers at this time. While that could change going forward, Diggs said “I hope they let me play” when asked about his status for Sunday’s game against the New York Giants. It was also not that long ago that he signed a five-year, $72 million deal with Minnesota, so a trade seems unlikely.
