Stefon Diggs is years removed from the last time he suited up for the Buffalo Bills, but he still thinks highly of his former team — and its quarterback.
On Monday, the New England Patriots’ star wide receiver shared a heartfelt message for Buffalo and its fans, while encouraging them to keep trusting superstar quarterback Josh Allen.
“I love y’all, I know I’m far gone, but I do miss you, I have a great relationship with y’all,” the four-time Pro Bowler Diggs said, via The Sick Podcast.
“Keep hanging your hat on that quarterback. That quarterback is a Hall of Fame quarterback.”
Digg also said, “parts of me wish things were different because I do got a lot of love and respect for that team.”
Even though he feels the love is no longer mutual between him and Buffalo supporters, Diggs said he has “a lot of love and respect for that organization and that fan base.”
Diggs was the Bills’ top downfield threat for four seasons from 2020 to 2023. During that span, Buffalo made the playoffs every year, including a trip to the AFC Championship Game in the 2020 campaign, where they lost to Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
What he failed to achieve with Allen and the Bills, Diggs is now just a win away from accomplishing with the Patriots, who will lock horns with the Seattle Seahawks at Super Bowl LX on Sunday at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.
