Stephen A. Smith is all the way in on the Caleb Williams bandwagon.
The Chicago Bears quarterback led his team to a massive 59-37 win over the Carolina Panthers at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C. And, now Smith had some huge praise for Williams.
“I’m a huge Caleb Williams fan. I believe he’s gonna win a Super Bowl for [the Bears] one day,” Smith said during an episode of ESPN’s “First Take.”

The Bears offense exploded, and Williams was a huge part of that. He went 21-of-29 for 269 yards with two touchdowns, and he added 65 yards and another two scores on the ground.
In June, Williams was also named the Madden cover athlete, but after one game, he might be on track to break the infamous curse.
Williams is in his third season in the NFL, and the Bears selected him No. 1 in 2024. He starred for the Oklahoma Sooners before following Lincoln Riley to the USC Trojans, and Williams won the Heisman Trophy in 2022.
The Bears are coming off a strong 2025 season where they won the NFC North and finished as the No. 2 seed in the conference, although they lost to the Los Angeles Rams in overtime in the Divisional Round.
With the way Williams is playing and the success the Bears have had since hiring Ben Johnson as the head coach, a Super Bowl certainly isn’t out of the picture in the near future.
