Terrance Williams’ bonehead play at the end of the Cowboys-Giants game on Sunday cost his team a shot at winning the game.
The Cowboys had the ball for a 3rd-and-10 at their 46 with 12 seconds left when Dak Prescott threw a pass to Williams. Williams made the reception, but instead of going to the sidelines to stop the clock, he plowed forward. Though Williams turned it into a 14-yard gain to the Giants’ 40, the Cowboys were unable to line up quickly enough to stop the clock with a spike.

Time ran out in the game and the Giants were able to win 20-19.
Had Williams gone out of bounds, Dallas might have had a chance to win the game with a very long field goal attempt by Dan Bailey, who was 4-for-4 in the game.
If only Williams had listened to teammate Dez Bryant:
