Terrell Owens’ agent talking with a ‘bunch of teams’
Terrell Owens has a new agent, and that agent is working hard to get the former All-Pro a job in the NFL.
Owens’ agent, Jordan Woy, told ESPN’s Adam Schefter that he has had conversations with “a bunch of teams” about bringing in Owens for a tryout. Nothing has been set up for Owens, but Woy says teams have told him they may reach out if they have an injury.
T.O., now 39, is still training and working out with the hope of getting another NFL shot. He has not been associated with an NFL team since the Seattle Seahawks cut him before the season began last year. He has not caught a pass in the NFL since the 2010 season.
Owens said in June that he would retire if he doesn’t get another chance. We believe he is unlikely to catch a pass in the NFL for the rest of his life, but at least the guy is working out, staying in good shape, and maintaining hope. Remember, like they said in “Shawshank Redemption,” hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things.
Also, I’m guessing “reached out to a bunch of teams” would have been a more appropriate way to term this than “talking with a bunch of teams.”
