The Pro Football Hall of Fame’s 2018 class will not be officially announced until later Saturday evening, but one former superstar appears to have confirmed that he was elected.
Terrell Owens, who was controversially left out of the 2017 class, indicated on Instagram that he had been elected to the Hall of Fame on his third try.
Owens certainly deserves it for his on-field exploits, but his character had been working against him in his first two years of eligibility. There was some thought that his reaction to being snubbed last year could contribute to another snub this year. Unless Owens is trolling us, though, that has not been the case.
