Atlanta Falcons safety Thomas DeCoud was so stoked about a good play he made in Sunday’s NFC Championship Game that he celebrated by doing a D-Generation X crotch chop. DeCoud had broken up a pass from Colin Kaepernick to Vernon Davis in the first quarter of the game that led to an Atlanta punt. He was so pleased with himself, he did a funky dance and ended it with an emphatic crotch chop.
The crotch chop is the signature taunt of the wresting group D-Generation X. One of the group’s leaders, Shawn Michaels, was watching the game and noticed the chop:

DeCoud is the same guy who once played the “Meow” game during an interview, so it’s safe to say the guy is in touch with pop culture.
