One of the Tennessee Titans’ draft picks has already made a bold declaration.

The Titans drafted defensive lineman T’Vondre Sweat with their second-round pick (No. 38 overall) on Friday. That came after they had already drafted offensive lineman JC Latham in the first round (No. 7 overall) a day earlier.

Sweat is entering the NFL with no shortage of confidence.

Sweat told reporters that he is aiming to lose some weight. And if he loses that weight, he sees himself becoming a Hall of Fame player.

Sweat, who weighs 366 pounds, said “if I go to 355, 350 (pounds), most likely I am going to be a Hall of Famer.”

That’s very bold.

Sweat played five seasons at Texas and won the Outland Trophy last season. He had 45 tackles and two sacks for the Longhorns in 2023.

And according to him, we’ll see him in the Hall of Fame in about 15-20 years. Such a declaration makes you wonder why he hasn’t already lost the weight.
