Titans cut WR who dropped go-ahead touchdown pass against Bills
Nick Williams’ poor performance in the Tennessee Titans’ Week 5 loss to the Buffalo Bills has cost him his job.
Tennessee waived Williams on Tuesday as part of a handful of roster moves.
Williams dropped an easy touchdown in the fourth quarter of the game, one that would have put the Titans up 13-10 (assuming a made extra point) with 10:36 remaining.

Instead of going up 13-10, the Titans settled for a field goal and trailed 10-9. They kicked another field goal later in the game to take a 12-10 lead, but they lost 13-12 on a Buffalo field goal.
That missed touchdown likely cost Tennessee the game.
Williams’ poor play on a pass over the middle also may have cost the Titans an interception in the second quarter:

People often say the NFL stands for “Not For Long.” When you screw up the way Williams did, that nickname comes true.
