Todd Gurley has lost 10-15 pounds this offseason

Todd Gurley

Todd Gurley accomplished something this offseason that many in the American public would be jealous of. The Los Angeles Rams running back lost 10-15 pounds without trying to do so.

Gurley, who was listed at 231 pounds last season, says he has lost about 10-15 pounds thanks largely to his extensive training.

“I don’t know what happened this offseason,” Gurley said via ESPN’s Nick Wagoner. “I was just losing weight. It’s probably just having the first offseason not doing anything for about a month or two. I feel fine how I am. I’m not going to add weight.”

Gurley missed last year’s OTAs after being drafted because he was still recovering from knee surgery. He only played in 13 games last season but managed to rush for 1,106 yards and 10 touchdowns. The recovery likely means he was not able to do as much cardiovascular training, leading to some weight gain.

Though the Georgia product had tremendous success at his higher weight last season, Gurley is not planning to put the weight back on.
