Remember how swollen and disfigured Tom Brady’s hand looked in the team’s Week 8 win over the Miami Dolphins in October? Apparently he suffered some ligament damage in the hand that game.
NFL Network’s Albert Breer, who used to be a Patriots beat reporter for The Boston Globe, was recounting on Sunday how much Brady has played through this season. That’s when he mentioned that Brady suffering ligament damage in his throwing hand.
… Back in October, Brady suffered ligament damage in his throwing hand. It's healed now. But he had to fight through it then.

Brady's hand injury was the type that doesn't require surgery. So it resolved itself in time. Still, that adds more context to his season.

Brady was just 13-of-22 for 116 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception in the 27-17 win over the Dolphins that game. And if Brady did suffer ligament damage in his hand that week, he sure didn’t seem to show any bad signs afterwards. Brady threw for a season-high 432 yards and four touchdowns in a 55-31 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers the next week. He also passed for at least 296 yards in each of the team’s next five games after the Steelers win. Not bad for a guy with a bad hand.
