Tony Romo leaves with injury after getting sacked (Video)

Tony Romo shoulder injury

Tony Romo left Sunday’s Cowboys-Eagles game in the third quarter after landing on his left shoulder following a strip-sack, and he broke his collarbone on the play, the team announced.

Romo felt pressure on a second down play in Eagles territory and lost the ball. He was pulled down to the ground and landed on his left shoulder. Romo immediately grabbed his left shoulder:

Romo suffered a season-ending broken left collarbone in 2010. As he walked off the field Sunday, he mouthed, “it’s broken,” indicating that history had repeated itself:

Romo’s self-diagnosis turned out to be correct, unfortunately for Dallas. With Dez Bryant already sidelined for several weeks, the last thing Dallas needed was to lose its franchise QB. It’s now Brandon Weeden time.
