Seattle Seahawks quarterback Trevone Boykin was arrested early Monday morning, and the incident could have serious consequences because it is his second time getting in trouble with the law in less than two years.
As TMZ notes, Boykin has been on probation stemming from a 2015 bar fight that he was involved in leading up to TCU’s bowl game. Boykin ended up being suspended for the Alamo Bowl, which would have been his final collegiate game.
Boykin was required to stay out of legal trouble as part of the terms of his probation, and he could end up facing up to a year in jail and a $4,000 fine if prosecutors determine his probation should be revoked. He did not reach a plea agreement in the bar fight incident until June 2016, despite the incident taking place in December 2015.

The details surrounding Boykin’s latest arrest are scarce, but he has been charged with drug and public intoxication charges after he was the passenger in a frightening car accident that left multiple people injured.
