Troy Aikman was extremely complimentary of Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Robert Woods during the team’s playoff game against the Dallas Cowboys.
During the first quarter of Saturday night’s divisional round playoff game, Woods caught a pass from Jared Goff for five yards. Following the play, Aikman heaped praise on Woods, who has had an excellent season.
“I love Robert Woods. I think he’s arguably the best receiver in football when you consider everything he does,” Aikman said on the FOX broadcast.
Woods posted career-highs in receptions (86), receiving yards (1,216), and receiving touchdowns (6) during the regular season. While those numbers are certainly good, many felt Aikman went way overboard in his praise for the 26-year-old.
