Everyone said the same thing about Tua Tagovailoa’s comment on Josh Allen

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa had some effusive praise for Buffalo Bills counterpart Josh Allen, but some fans felt he wound up telling on himself instead.

Tagovailoa discussed Allen’s skillset on Tuesday ahead of Miami’s Week 3 game against Buffalo on Thursday. In trying to make the point that Allen can do just about anything on the field, Tagovailoa somewhat criticized himself in the process.

“That dude can do literally anything he wants,” Tagovailoa said. “Definitely different skillset for me. I can’t do half of what he does when it comes to running the ball and how far he can just chuck a ball down the field.”

Many mocked Tagovailoa for seemingly calling himself a limited quarterback compared to Allen. Others even joked about how he should make less money after an admission like that.

Yeah bro we know.

At least he knows he’s garbage

Just love to hear this from your QB1 🙂‍↔️

Then maybe he should make half of what he does

Tagovailoa was not actually trying to say he is only half as good as Allen, but the remark just invites mockery from fans who are unimpressed with him and his slow start. Through two games, Tagovailoa has thrown for a modest 429 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions.

The Miami quarterback has not really done himself a lot of favors lately with his media interactions. He obviously wasn’t trying to make a negative headline here, but he managed to do it anyway.
