Twitter mocks Sam Darnold over ‘seeing ghosts’ comment
Sam Darnold played a horrific game on Monday night at home against the New England Patriots and was literally spooked by the No. 1 defense in the league. The New York Jets quarterback admitted during a horrendous first half that he was “seeing ghosts.”
As the game wore on, Darnold only got worse. He was 11/30 for 86 yards with no touchdowns and four interceptions, leading to plenty of ridicule. Take a look at the way those on Twitter mocked Darnold about his ghosts comment.

Do you think Darnold would have agreed to be recorded on a microphone by ESPN if he knew this would be the result? Probably not.
The jokes will persist until Darnold gives them a reason to go away. He needs to respond with some improved play.
