Twitter stunned by Adam Vinatieri’s huge preseason kick
Adam Vinatieri may be 45 years old, but it seems he’s getting better with age.
The veteran kicker booted a 57-yard field goal in the first quarter of Monday night’s preseason game between the Baltimore Ravens and Indianapolis Colts. It was such a far distance that Vinatieri was lined up for the kick from the Colts logo at midfield.
Here’s a look at the reactions on Twitter from folks who were impressed.

He'll probably be nailing 57 yarders for decades to come. @adamvinatieri pic.twitter.com/A6l9dhqu1E

Just when you question the sanity of scrutinizing a ho-him NFL preseason game, Adam Vinatieri kicks a 57-yard FG. And it cleared crossbar with a little room. Ageless, 45-year-old wonder. Again. #colts

Please don’t retire, @adamvinatieri. When you do, I will be older than every single player in the @NFL.

Vinatieri, a career 84 percent kicker on field goals, has been in the NFL since 1996. His impressive 57-yard bomb on Monday matched his career high from a regular season game, which came in 2002.
