The Philadelphia Eagles made a ballsy call before halftime of the Super Bowl on Sunday and converted in a huge way.
On 4th-and-goal from the one, Eagles coach Doug Pederson decided to go for it rather than attempt a field goal while leading 15-12. Not only did they go for it, but they ran a trick play that ended up with a pass going to quarterback Nick Foles.
Here’s a look at the play:

Naturally, folks on Twitter commended the Eagles on the bold decision to go for it … as well as the bold playcall.

True fact: Right now Nick Foles has the same number of receptions (1) as Gronk.

All things considered, that was one of the gutsiest play calls in NFL history. That was crazy.

“We had just gone all the way down the field and I wasn’t going to let us get stopped,” Pederson told NBC’s Michele Tafoya at halftime.
Well played, Doug and the Eagles.
