After T.Y. Hilton scored on a 73-yard touchdown pass from Andrew Luck Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars, he celebrated in an unexpected way. Rather than spike the ball like many players, Hilton cradled the ball like a baby and caressed it.
It was certainly an odd celebration, but it made sense.
Hilton’s wife, Shantrell, gave birth to a daughter Sunday morning, and Hilton promised to score a TD in the newborn’s honor.
Hilton’s agent tweeted about T.Y.’s plan to honor baby Gigi:
For all fantasy footballers: Yes, @TYHilton13 will make it to the stadium by kickoff & told me "it's the right thing to do to get her a TD"
