Tyler Eifert suffers gruesome ankle injury
Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert has a long history with injuries that has prevented his NFL career from taking off, and he suffered another on Sunday that appeared to be quite serious.
Early in the second half of his team’s game against the Atlanta Falcons, Eifert was carted off after his leg and ankle got caught underneath him on a tackle. The injury looked as gruesome as it gets, and we wouldn’t recommend watching the video if you have a weak stomach.

The medical staff immediately put Eifert’s ankle in an air cast, which is usually a sign of something serious.
Eifert is one of the best tight ends in football when healthy, but he has had trouble staying on the field in his five-plus seasons. He has appeared in eight or less games in three of his five seasons in the league, and it would be a shock if that were not the case again in 2018.
