Tyler Shough was taken No. 40 overall in the NFL Draft by the New Orleans Saints on Friday, and his wife Jordan, sister and dog all drew attention.

Shough, who spent last season with Louisville, was at his home for the draft rather than in attendance at Green Bay, Wisc. Next to him on the couch was his girlfriend — now wife — Jordan Shough. Behind him was his sister. Shough’s dog also drew attention after getting in on the celebration while the family was excited.

Shough was around the college football game for years before now turning pro. He began his college career in 2018 and spent his first three years with Oregon. Then he transferred to Texas Tech for three seasons. Shough transferred a second time and spent last season with Louisville. He passed for 3,195 yards, 23 touchdowns and 6 interceptions while helping the Cardinals go 9-4.

The Saints met with Shough the day the news about Derek Carr’s should injury was reported. Weeks later, they ended up taking him in the draft.
