Tyrann Mathieu calls out Texans fan who punted his signed football into lake

Tyrann Mathieu is getting extra bulletin board material ahead of Sunday’s playoff game against his former team.
Local radio host Landry Locker shared video on Friday of a Houston Texans fan who apparently won a football signed by the former Pro Bowl safety and proceeded to punt it right into a lake. Take a look.
Shoutout to LoopHole Scott who won the #Texans Tyrann Mathieu football and punted that thing into the lake. #WeAreTexans #Chiefs #LoopHoles pic.twitter.com/recBEGtx4c

Mathieu, who spent the 2018 season with the Texans but is now with the Kansas City Chiefs, reacted to the video, calling it “so lame” and “wack.”

The 27-year-old Mathieu took more money to sign with the Chiefs despite Houston’s reported interest in bringing him back, so that may still play in the minds of Texans fans. In any case, this adds another interesting layer to the weekend’s highly anticipated Chiefs-Texans divisional round game.
