The Kansas City Chiefs are trading one of the most explosive players in the NFL, as star wide receiver Tyreek Hill is headed to the Miami Dolphins.
The Chiefs and Dolphins on Wednesday agreed to a blockbuster deal for Hill, according to multiple reports. The price for Miami is five draft picks — including a first- and second-round pick this year.
Chiefs are trading six-time Pro-Bowl WR Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins for five draft picks: a 2022 1st-round pick (No. 29), a 2nd-round pick (No. 50) and a 4th-round pick, as well as 4th- and 6th-round picks in the 2023 draft, sources tell ESPN.

Hill will also sign a massive contract extension with the Dolphins. His agent Drew Rosenhaus told ESPN’s Adam Schefter that Hill has agreed to a four-year, $120 million extension with Miami that includes $72.2 million guaranteed. Davante Adams signed a five-year, $141.25 million deal with the Las Vegas Raiders that includes $67.5 million guaranteed after he was traded last week. Hill is now the highest-paid receiver in the NFL.
Hill, 28, was given a choice between the Dolphins and one other team. The Chiefs reportedly had deals in place with both after their contract talks with Hill fell apart.
Kansas City will now have a major void to fill offensively. Hill has eclipsed the 1,000-yard receiving mark in four of the last five seasons. He has made the Pro Bowl every year since 2016 and had 24 touchdown catches over the past two years. The Chiefs recently signed JuJu Smith-Schuster, but they will likely look for further upgrades at the receiver position.
