Utah RB Zack Moss likely out for season with knee injury
The injuries are hitting the Utah Utes hard this week.
First, quarterback Tyler Huntley suffered a season-ending broken collarbone in the team’s loss to Arizona State on Saturday. A few days later, running back Zack Moss suffered a knee injury in practice.
The Salt Lake Tribune’s Kurt Kragthorpe reported on Thursday that Moss injured his knee in practice on Wednesday and is likely out for the rest of the season.
Moss, a junior, has been great for the Utes this season. He has 1,092 yards and 11 touchdowns on 179 carries this season (6.1 average). He had rushed for a score in all but one game and had six 100-yard games.
Jason Shelley and Armand Shyne will likely be the team’s starting quarterback and running back on Saturday against Oregon.
