The New England Patriots have been so short on personnel offensively this season that they felt the need to convert a linebacker to a fullback, and the big man rewarded Bill Belichick for the decision by catching a touchdown pass on Sunday.
With the Patriots trailing the Miami Dolphins 17-10 in the second half, Roberts broke out of the backfield and was — not surprisingly — left completely uncovered. Tom Brady immediately recognized it and hit Roberts in the open field, and the 240-pounder showed off some impressive speed to sprint 38 yards for the score.

Roberts is a member of a ferocious Patriots’ defense that has been nicknamed “The Boogeymen,” and his touchdown celebration was quite fitting.

Roberts, a team captain, delivered an incredible quote recently about his willingness to do whatever Belichick asks him to do. His touchdown reception on Sunday took that to another level.
