Elandon Roberts delivered an incredible quote after the New England Patriots’ division-clinching win on Saturday night.
Roberts is a versatile player who can do it all. He plays linebacker, fullback, and special teams. On Saturday, he was playing fullback and helped open up several holes as a lead blocker, including one on a big go-ahead touchdown run by Rex Burkhead.
Roberts thinks his willingness to do it all is exactly why Bill Belichick loves him.

He’s probably right.
The ability to fill in as a fullback with James Develin out is huge for New England. Roberts does it well, hitting defenders hard and pancaking them.
Chris Long, who spent the 2016 season with the Patriots, shared on Twitter just how hard of a hitter Roberts is.
Elandon Roberts damn near gave me a concussion in jog through simulating a FB. Seriously. Prayers up to dudes taking him on all day.

That’s why Roberts is a team captain.
