Report: Vikings dealing for Trevor Siemian
The Minnesota Vikings lost all three quarterbacks on their roster to free agency, so they have to rebuild their depth at the position from scratch.
With that in mind, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday that the Vikings are closing in on a deal for Denver Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian.

Obviously, Siemian will not be starting as he did for parts of two seasons in Denver. He couldn’t cut it there, but he should be a capable backup for a contending team who could step in in a pinch and hold his own for a game or two if necessary. It’s a nice low-risk depth move from Minnesota’s standpoint.
