Steelers LB denies mocking Antonio Brown with social media ‘clowns’ tweet
It has been nearly a month since the Pittsburgh Steelers traded Antonio Brown to the Oakland Raiders, but the star wide receiver is still finding a way to feud with ex-teammates. Vince Williams appeared to become the latest, though the veteran linebacker insists a cryptic tweet he sent Monday had nothing to do with Brown.
Williams wrote on Twitter that he is not one to air out his personal relationship drama on social media, and he called those who do “clowns.”
I don’t address my personal relationships via social media like attention whores and clowns. If I got ya number I call, if I got ya addy I pull up.

Of course, Brown and JuJu Smith-Schuster went back and forth a bit on social media over the weekend after Brown called out JuJu for his crucial fumble in Pittsburgh’s Week 16 loss to the New Orleans Saints last season. Since Williams and Smith-Schuster are still teammates, many assumed Williams was taking aim at Brown with his tweet on Monday. He says that was not the case.
Don’t use my name or words to push your narrative. I have AB number if I had beef I’d call him. Sell your own stories. https://t.co/eeyFaciY1j

Given the timing, that is pretty hard to believe. Either way, Brown was not deterred by the remark. Not long after Williams shared his thoughts on social media being used for personal feuds, Brown made himself look bad by sharing a screenshot of a direct message Smith-Schuster sent him four years ago.
If Williams was trying to send a message to Brown, you can’t really blame him. The whole thing has been childish, and Brown is making himself look worse by the day.
