Von Miller ‘lost for words’ by Broncos’ continued struggles
The Denver Broncos clinched a third consecutive losing season with Sunday’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, and one longtime player is genuinely unsure why the organization has fallen as far as it has.
Linebacker Von Miller vented some frustration after the team’s latest loss, and admitted that he didn’t have a solution after watching the organization shuffle different players and coaches in and out since the team’s 2015 Super Bowl-winning season.
Von Miller began his post-game presser by talking about the general frustrations of the last four years: “We’ve tried everything on and off the field – all different coaches, all different players. … I’m lost for words.”

The Broncos have not played in a playoff game since Peyton Manning retired, which is a pretty clear sign of what the biggest issue is. Their defense has taken a step back and their offense has not been good enough to compensate, and it hasn’t mattered if the coach is Vance Joseph or Vic Fangio. They’ve gone through the likes of Brock Osweiler, Trevor Siemian, and Joe Flacco, none of which succeeded. Maybe Drew Lock will be the one, but the coaching staff appears to still have some doubts, and he wasn’t good on Sunday.
Though the issues are clear, they’re not easily fixable. That’s going to be the biggest source of Miller’s frustration. He hardly wants to play out his prime years on a team going nowhere.
