Rapper Wale says he will perform at Robert Griffin III’s wedding (Video)

Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III and rapper Wale appear to be best buddies. Last summer, Wale visited Redskins training camp and told reporters about a new nickname he had already given the rookie sensation. Now, he is apparently on RG3’s guest list for his wedding.

On Tuesday, Wale joined HOT 97 in New York in-studio to promote his new album “The Gifted.” RG3 called into the station as a surprise guest, and Wale needled him about being up so early in the morning before the topic of Griffin’s July 6 wedding came up.

“I’m gonna be at the wedding, though. I’ma be there,” Wale said, via Sarah Kogod of DC Sports Bog. “Me and Griff gonna perform at that wedding.”

Griffin went on to say that he can’t rap, so I doubt he will be performing at his own wedding. In fact, I have my doubts that Wale will even perform, but I’m sure he’s going to be there.

I wonder if Wale was as kind as RG3’s fans and bought him something nice off of his and Rebecca Liddicoat’s gift registry. If so, do you think he got a hand-written note in return?
