On Saturday, Purdue’s football team lost 50-7 to Maryland. In the following days, the turf crew for the Boilermakers has its own mess to deal with.
Over the weekend, a water line under Ross–Ade Stadium broke, resulting in flooding near one of the end zones.

Heres the little guy that caused all the mess. Stress on the pipe caused a clean break. Thrust blocks now used there pic.twitter.com/uZXymydtD5

The Purdue football team will play the second of two consecutive road games this weekend as they travel to face Illinois. Their next home game will be October 15 when Iowa comes to town.
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time a Purdue athletic facility has had to deal with flooding this year. In May, a water line that was being run to the new football complex leaked. As a result, the volleyball and basketball courts had to be replaced.
