Anyone could have guessed what song Tiger Woods would walk out to on Tuesday for his first-ever TGL match. But that did not make the moment any less hype-worthy.
TGL, short for TMRW Golf League, is a new golf venture spearheaded by sports executive Mike McCarley and fairway legends Woods and Rory McIlroy, in partnership with the PGA Tour. The competition pits some of the PGA Tour’s best golfers in a team-based competition resembling the NBA or NFL.
But Woods’ entrance for his debut match at SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. looked more akin to a WWE wrestler making his way into the ring for a pay-per-view event. He even had his own entrance music, which was unsurprisingly the 1982 classic “Eye of the Tiger” by Survivor.

Several fans on X bought into the hype.
What a sick entrance for Tiger. I love how they didn’t even need to talk or introduce him lol

Welp, Tiger just came out to ‘Eye of the Tiger’ at his TGL debut and it was awesome

Every other competitor was introduced by the in-arena MC. But Woods evidently needed no introduction.
TGL matches are played indoors using a state-of-the-art simulator. But players still hit from authentic surfaces such as grass, sand, or rough. The players then shift to a physical green once they get to within 50 yards.
Woods plays for the Jupiter Links Golf Club, one of six teams in the league’s inaugural season. The 5-time Masters winner is teammates with Max Homa, Tom Kim, and Kevin Kisner.
Jupiter lost its season opener to the Los Angeles Golf Club on Tuesday by a score of 12-1.
