Scottie Scheffler shares awesome moment with his dad after milestone win
Scottie Scheffler defeated Kevin Kisner in the finals of the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play on Sunday, and in doing so he officially became the top-ranked golfer in the world. He shared a great moment with his father after the event.
Scheffler walked off the green and hugged his dad, Scott, after he beat Kisner in 15 holes. The elder Scheffler had an awesome message for his son, telling him he is “more proud of who you are than your golf.”

A father-son moment can’t get much better than that.
Scheffler, 25, looked like he was ready to break out all last season, but he didn’t notch his first PGA win until the Phoenix Open last month. He has won two more events since. This crazy stat helps put his rapid ascension into perspective:
With a win in this match, Scottie Scheffler would reach world no. 1 just 42 days after his first PGA or DP World Tour win.
Shortest gap between those 2 things happening all-time is Tiger Woods, 252 days. David Duval 2nd at 532 days.
